STORYTELLING

STORYTELLING

Suitable for KS1 upwards.

Using a combination of my own and stories
collected
from around the world, the audience gets a chance to boo, hiss, join in, participate or just sit back and be entertained.

My main characters are Rainbow Stripes telling stories from everywhere and beyond;

Archibald Pratt, an explorer with an extraordinary array of treasures and tales, some of which might actually be true!

Bumble the (failed) Wizard has to amuse 1,000,000 children before he can get his wand returned.

I invented the character TOBY JUGG for the Stoke-on-Trent Museum service, writing as well as performing the stories. They're all about life as a Victorian kiln placer, told with humour and some pathos. If you'd like to hire Toby, please go through the Gladstone Musuem - (Vicky Martin or Nikki Harratt) - on 01782 237777.

Is it the shirt or the storyteller that keeps them mesmerised?
